The head of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, on Thursday, at a meeting in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed the measures necessary to achieve stability and security in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean, writes Times of Israel.
“Erdogan and Gansa discussed a number of strategic issues, as well as the commitment of two countries to work on stability, prosperity and safety in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean,” the information says.
During the meeting, the HANTS thanked Erdogan for the activities of the Turkish authorities to prevent attacks on Israeli tourists in Istanbul at the end of July. Israel believes that these attacks were developed in Iran.
“Activities to combat terrorism is of great importance for strengthening cooperation and renewal of official relations in the field of defense between countries,” the Chancellery of Hanz emphasized.
