The Israeli opposition organized mass protests against the policy of the government Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday evening. The largest demonstration was held near the complex of government buildings in the east of Tel Aviva.
Before the rally, the organizers announced that the format of the action will be changed in connection with the terrorist attack committed on Friday evening at one of the synagogues in Eastern Jerusalem. The demonstration began with a minute of silence in memory of the dead. In addition, the rally took place without musical accompaniment.
During the performances, his participants spoke in defense of democracy, criticized the government and his plans for judicial reform, accused members of Cabinet of corruption. In addition to the national flag, the rally participants kept the black flags of corruption, the rainbow flags of LGBT activists. The rally also was a group of demonstrators with Palestinian national flags.
According to police, in the subbotnik demonstrations against legal reform in Tel Aviv, more than 60,000 people took part in Jerusalem – about 10,000, Israeli media write.
Anti -government actions are held in Israel for the fourth Saturday in a row. In addition to Tel Aviv, the opposition rallies were also held in other largest cities in the country.
