Havana: Russian-Cuban Relations Were Discussed

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko met with Cuba President Miguel Diasel Bermudes as part of a working visit to Havana. This was reported by the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The head of the republic expressed the appreciation of Russia for the assistance provided in connection with the consequences of a strong hurricane, and also thanked the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and the delegation for a fruitful visit.

“Russia provides emergency assistance. At a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Ricardo Cabrisas, we concluded the Russian-Kubin intergovernmental agreement on the release of $ 60 million for the supply of 80 thousand tons of diesel fuel and additional 2 million for equipment and spare parts. Such Support is important not only for the restoration of infrastructure, but also for ensuring stability in the energy sector of the Cuban economy, ”said Dmitry Chernyshenko, whose words are given in the message.

Deputy Prime Minister also expressed confidence that Russian-Cuban relations have many opportunities for growth and deepening.
