The Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency Goshgar Tahmazli inspected flour and bread and bread production in Baku.
The head of AQTA got acquainted with the process of introducing the HASSP system (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, HACCP – a concept providing for systematic identification, evaluation and management of hazardous factors that significantly affect the safety of products) due food products “, as well as the implementation of a pilot project aimed at enriching the flour of iron, assessed the state of infrastructure in the field.
The agency noted that, since the flour occupies an important place in the diet, for many years in more than 80 countries of the world it is required to enrich various nutrients, including iron.
It is emphasized that the decision to conduct monitoring was achieved following a meeting held between the producers of flour and bread and Goshgar Tahmazli on February 9. Measures in this direction are currently ongoing.
