Head Of Central Bank Of Nabiullina: Influence Of Growth Of US Imported Duties On Russian Federation Minimally

The influence of the growth of US imported duties on Russia is minimal, for the Russian Federation it manifests itself indirectly. This was stated by the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina at a press conference following a meeting of the board of directors of the regulator.

“Russia has a different situation. Our volume of Russian exports in the United States is insignificant and there is no need to stimulate internal demand in return for external demand in these conditions. So for us this influence is direct, it is minimal. For us, the influence of tariffs is more indirectly talked about, primarily through a weak world demand, reducing world prices for raw materials,” said the head of the Central Bank, whose words said, the words of which TASS gives.

She noted that for the Russian Federation this is not a disinfluent risk, as in Japan or China, but quite a cornflation risk.

According to Nabiullina, the Bank of Russia took into account the factor of global trade wars in its macro -propriet.

“In our opinion, the situation is developing dynamically, it will be necessary to track what the level of imported tariffs will eventually develop. We took into account the factor of trade wars in our forecast,” said the head of the Central Bank.

Also, the Central Bank, according to her, reduced the growth rate of the world economy and slightly reduced the estimation of oil prices. “Because the main channel of influence on the Russian economy of these tariff wars is a decrease in prices for the main goods of our export,” Nabiullina noted.

Nabiullina also reported a slowdown in the growth rate of investment in the economy of the Russian Federation.

“The growth rate of investment will seem to be slowed down,” she said.

Now investment activity in Russia is located near high levels of 2024. The vast majority of enterprises we have planned to either save or increase the volume of investments this year, ”added Nabiullina.
