The head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Lyain held the first telephone conversation this year – with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, during which she promised the continuation of the financial assistance of the European Union, as well as the meeting in this country.
She reported this on Twitter.
“We will support you with generators, bulbs, canopies, school buses. And we continue our powerful financial assistance. We will soon begin to pay our support package of 18 billion euros with monthly tranches. I look forward to meeting you again in Ukraine in the near future, ”wrote the head of the EC.
She emphasized that the European Union will support Ukraine as much as it will need.
