Foreign Ministers of Romania, Austria and Lithuania Bogdan Auriescu, Alexander Schallenberg and Gabrielius Landsbergis on Friday, June 25, flew to Baku on behalf of the Supreme Representative of the European Union on Foreign Affairs and the Security Policy of Josepa Borrel.
“The visit is a good opportunity to once again declare the importance of cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan,” wrote in Twitter Romanian Minister Bogdan Auresska.
It is expected that in Baku ministers will hold meetings with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Head of Foreign Minister Jayhun Bayramov.
The purpose of the visit was previously reported to confirm the readiness of the EU to closer participation in current events in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia.
