Head of General Staff set tasks for Azerbaijani special forces

First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Kerim Veliev, set the task of increasing the intensity of the teachings of special forces, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said.

The military department noted that on October 8, Kerim Veliev visited the military unit of special forces.

K. Vereyev noted that the response measures taken by the units of the Azerbaijani army, including special forces, in order to prevent large -scale provocations of the Armed Forces of Armenia in September of this year, are highly appreciated by the president of Azerbaijan, the supreme commander in chief Ilham Aliyev.

“The chief of the General Staff set the command to further increase the intensity of exercises and classes, conducted in order to maintain a high level of tactical and special training and professionalism of special forces, and the widespread use of acquired combat experience in the upcoming exercises,” the military report said in a statement by the military departments.
