Turkey has reached significant progress in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, while Greece is lagging behind in this area. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Greece Nikos Dandias.
“to be sincere, Turkey has serious opportunities in the production of its own unmanned aerial vehicles. She took a step forward in this direction. Perhaps we did not notice this in time,” he said on the air of the SKAI TV channel.
At the same time, the minister noted that Greece does not have an innovative system that allows to widely introduce combat drones into the armed forces and produce them in large quantities.
According to Dandias, the country needs to “catch up with the lost time.”
The head of the department also emphasized the importance of continuing the dialogue between Athens and Ankara in order to avoid tension in relations between the two countries.
