In addition, the minister noted that there is no need for a referendum for the construction of the second nuclear power plant. “In accordance with the law, this station will be built by decision of the government,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov said that in the near future agreements will be concluded on the construction of the first nuclear power plant in the Almaty region.
In turn, the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev at an expanded meeting of the government said that he expects from the government and parliament to proposals concerning the construction site of the second nuclear power plant.
