The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Alparslan Bayractar visited the area of the oil field in Shirnak on Saturday.
The minister examined the oil production areas in the Gabar Mountain region from the air, after which he visited the well şehit aybüke yalçın-2.
“Today we visit the area that is of particular importance for the energy and oil sectors of Turkey. This area is also significant for the success of the concept of” centenary of Turkey. “We are in Shirnak, which will become an important center for oil production in Turkey,” the minister said.
The General Director of the State Oil Company TPAO Melikh Khan Bilgin informed the Minister about the reserves of oil in the southeast of Anatolia.
The head of the Ministry of Energy said that the day before he visited the provinces of Hatai and Adyyaman, who suffered from February earthquakes.
Bayracar noted that the destructive earthquakes on February 6 with epicenters in Kazakhmanmarash affected 11 Turkish provinces, where intensive work on development and construction is underway.
