Ex-president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili receives the necessary medical care in his homeland and does not need to translate abroad, he stated on Friday the head of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Ekaterina Tikaradze in an interview with the Georgian TV channel Rustavi 2.
“I can not imagine that Georgian doctors have no sufficient competence to ensure the patient [Saakashvili] with everything necessary. Based on this, we did not lead any consultations to deliver the patient abroad and there to continue his treatment,” the words quotes there Tickradze TASS.
To the question of a journalist, when Sakashvili’s post is planned from the Military Hospital of Gori and his translation to prison, the minister replied that everything depends on the process of restoring the health of the convict. “At this stage, his extract is not planned, since in addition to the beginning of meals, the patient needs other procedures. It is important that it is fully restored, only after that it will be his extract,” the minister added.
