He noted that at present 110 thousand families live in new homes in such safe areas as the anti -terrorist operations of the Turkish Armed Forces “Euphrates” and “Olive Branch”, as well as the Idlib de -Equalition zone.
YERLIKA also recalled the participation of AFAD in search and rescue operations in the infamous prison “Sednaya”, which “became famous” of the brutal tortures of opponents of the overthrown regime of Bashar al-Assad.
The minister noted that the Humanitarian efforts of AFAD are not limited only to the construction of housing for displaced Syrians. According to him, the management distributed primary necessity among those in need of Syria, including 316 flour trucks received from the Turkish grain council, and 571 Assistance truck collected by NGOs.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the logistics center created in the village of Chobanbey in the northeast of the Syrian province of Aleppo is the center for these operations. “This center processes more than 1 million grocery sets and 110,400 tons of flour per year, guaranteeing that help will reach those in need,” said Erlika.
The Minister also spoke about the plans for the creation of migration management offices at the Turkish Embassy in Damascus and the country’s consulate in Aleppo to ensure the use of Syrian refugees for administrative purposes in Syria.
“Today in Turkey there are 4,164,472 foreigners who have the legal right to accommodate, of which 2,920 119 are Syrians under temporary protection,” added Erlika.
