Head Of Ministry Of Trade Of Turkey Noted Growth Of Trade With Azerbaijan And Uzbekistan

The volume of Turkey’s bilateral trade with Azerbaijan last year reached $ 8 billion, and with Uzbekistan – $ 3.3 billion. This was stated by the Minister of Trade of Turkey Omer Bolat, speaking at the Trilateral Business Forum of Turkey-Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan, held in the Union of Chamber of Commerce and Trade Exaches of Turkey (Tobb).

“Our Turkish contractors today completed 836 projects in the amount of $ 28 billion in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan,” said the minister.

At the same time, the Bolat called “beautiful” relations between the three countries and from a political point of view.

The Minister noted that under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey Exports to Uzbekistan has increased 15 times since 2003, and in Azerbaijan – 9 times.

According to Bolat, import from Azerbaijan to Turkey in the period under review increased by 40 times, and 10 times from Uzbekistan.

The Minister noted that Türkiye has entered into agreements on preferential trade with two countries and negotiations are underway to expand this agreement in terms of the name of goods.

Three countries continue to joint efforts to develop trade in the framework of the organization of Turkic states, the organization of economic cooperation and the organization of Islamic cooperation, ”the minister continued.

“The volume of mutual investments between Turkey and Azerbaijan is $ 37 billion, and between Turkey and Uzbekistan – $ 4.4 billion. Our work is a joint victory, joint growth and raising welfare.
