The heads of the General Staffs of France and Great Britain will visit Kyiv on Friday, April 4 in order to develop plans to create peacekeeping forces “Coalition of those who wish.” This was announced by Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barro.
According to the French newspaper Le Monde, Barro held a joint press conference with the UK Foreign Minister David Lammy at the headquarters in Brussels.
“Even if sooner or later the world is achieved, military potential or security will still be necessary. Therefore, our heads of the General Staff will be in Kyiv today in order to achieve progress in this work,” said Barro, commenting on the conflict in Ukraine.
He noted that Russia over the past three weeks continued its attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. Moscow continues to “commit war crimes,” says Barro.
Barro and Lammy also accused Russia of sabotage of the US peaceful efforts.
It is expected that the heads of the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of France and Great Britain during their visit to Kyiv will discuss security guarantees for Ukraine in case of ceasefire.
