Two-day meeting of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Big Seven (G7, which includes United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Japan and the USA) in full-time format will take place on December 11 in English Liverpool, reports TASS.
The focus of ministers will be the situation in Ukraine, interaction with Russia, the protection of human rights worldwide and the fight against the pandemic.
It is expected that in the communiqué on the basis of the meeting in Liverpool, the Ministers of G7 countries will indicate the inadmissibility of the escalation of the conflict in the Donbas. The tone of the future document is laid in the statement of the leaders of the five states of G7 (Great Britain, Italy, USA, France and Germany) released after a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Joe Biden on December 7. In this statement, Washington and its European allies expressed “unconditional support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” noting that “Russia should reduce tensions and look for a diplomatic decision, including within the framework of the Norman format for the implementation of Minsk agreements.”
