Heads Of Ministry Of Energy Of OTG Countries Discussed Cooperation

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek, the 4th meeting of the ministers of the energy of the countries – members of the organization of Turkic states (OTG) was held. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting was attended by ministers and representatives of the energy departments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as observers from Turkmenistan and Hungary.

The meeting discussed the issues of cooperation in the energy sector, including the implementation of tasks indicated in the Nakhichevan agreement, the concept of development of the Turkic world until 2040 and the plan of action on energy cooperation for 2023-2027.

The ministers paid special attention to the development of green energy, the creation of a regional center for technology and green initiatives, as well as annual contests of professional skill among power engineers. It was proposed to hold the first professional skill tournament among OTG members in Kyrgyzstan.

The Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalabek Ibraev noted the importance of this forum to strengthen cooperation in the field of energy, emphasizing the significant potential of the Kyrgyz Republic in the implementation of hydropower projects and projects for renewable energy sources. He also suggested that the countries of OTG consider the possibility of diversification of energy routes and active participation in new energy projects.

Participants expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in the field of electricity exchange and supply, and also emphasized the importance of energy efficiency as a key tool to ensure energy security.

following the results of the meeting, a joint communique was signed on the further strengthening of cooperation in the energy sector. Participants highly appreciated the work of the meeting and expressed gratitude to the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalibek Ibraev for a successful leadership of the event and a warm welcome from Kyrgyzstan.
