Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Faisal Ben Farhan Al Saud discussed the regional agenda with an emphasis on the development of the situation in Syria.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on January 15, a telephone conversation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lavrov with a colleague from Saudi Arabia was held.
“The heads of foreign policy departments exchanged views on a number of relevant problems of the regional agenda with an emphasis on the development of the situation in Syria. They spoke out for establishing an inclusive inter -Siri dialogue with the participation of all political forces and ethnoconfessional groups, as well as all external players who are in support of the preservation of sovereignty , independence, unity and territorial integrity of the SAR, ”the statement said.
In addition, some practical issues of further strengthening of multifaceted traditionally friendly Russian-Saudi relations were discussed.
