Heads Of Special Services Of Russian Federation And United States Have Agreed To Maintain Regular Contacts

The director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin and the head of the US Central Intelligence Directorate (CIA) John Ratcliffe, during a telephone conversation, agreed to maintain regular contacts in order to assist international stability and security.

“A agreement has been reached on maintaining regular contacts between the directors of the SVR and the CIA in order to promote international stability and security, as well as a decrease in confrontation in relations between Moscow and Washington,” the press bureau of the SVR of the Russian Federation said in a statement.

The Russian department noted that “during communication, the issues of the interaction of two special services in the areas of general interest and settlement of crisis situations were discussed.”
