Pakistan’s election commission unveiled the first results of the elections in the National Assembly and Provincial Councils of the country.
According to the election commission, in parliament 23 places were taken by independent deputies supported by Pakistani movement for justice (PTI), 22 places – the Pakistani People’s Party (PPP) and 18 seats – the Pakistani Muslim League of Navaz (PML -N).
The counting of votes in the National Assembly and provincial advice continues.
Data on the turnout in the elections has not yet been provided.
Pakistan elections in 2013 amounted to 55.02 percent, in 2018 – 51.7 percent.
The voting process that began on Thursday, February 8, at 08.00 local time ended at 17.00.
