“The Russian-Azerbaijan Expert Council is of particular importance in the development of relations between the two countries. The history of relations between the two countries has deep roots. Friendship between Azerbaijan and Russia is of the nature of strategic cooperation and is very important to ensure security in the South Caucasus.” Assistant President of Azerbaijan, head of the Department of Foreign Policy of the Presidential Administration Hickmet Hajiyev, said this on the meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani Expert Council held in Baku.
He noted that Azerbaijan, having freed his original land from the occupation, restored territorial integrity and put an end to the conflict. Speaking of the meaning of a tripartite statement, the assistant of the president stressed that Azerbaijan created a new reality in the region of his victory.
According to him, the current relations correspond to the historical traditions of Azerbaijan and Russia, mutually beneficial cooperation is developing.
Hickmet Hajiyev noted a large role of the Russian-Azerbaijani Expert Council in the deepening of bilateral relations, expressed confidence that the third party will also join the cooperation of Azerbaijani and Russian experts.
