In order to protect the public health and improve the laboratory system in the field of food safety, measures are regularly implemented in the direction of strengthening and modernizing the material and technical base of laboratories operating at the Azerbaijani Food Safety Institute (AQTI).
British company Vetgas (APHA Scientific) attracted regional testing laboratories and AQTI departments to the competence program in order to measure the level of professional abilities, as well as examinations in this field in accordance with international requirements. Gubinskoye, Bardinskoye, Saborybad, Gakhsky district departments of the Central Veterinary Laboratory, as well as Goygöl, Tovuzskaya and Lenkoransk regional testing laboratories successfully participated in the determination of brucellosis using the Rose-Bengal method and achieved high results.
It should be noted that modern devices and equipment used in regional testing laboratories and AQTI departments allow pathomorphological, microbiological, virological, serological, molecular genetic, chemical toxicological and parasitological studies.
