“A peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia will serve the development of integration in the South Caucasus.” This was said on Thursday by the assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, head of the department of foreign policy of the administration of the head of state Hikmet Gadzhiev at an international conference in Shush.
Assistant President noted that Azerbaijan, for his part, is ready to sign a peace treaty, as evidenced by the negotiation process, which lasted three decades.
According to him, Armenia is still refraining from the specific steps that will benefit her.
Hikmet Gadzhiev also emphasized that joint development in various sectors, such as transport, trade and energy, will bring socio-economic benefits to Azerbaijan, Armenia and the region as a whole.
