The Cambodia Parliament approved the new government led by Prime Minister Hong Manet.
A 40-year-old politician replaced his father Hun Sena, who headed the government of 38 years in this post. He took the post of Prime Minister Cambodia in January 1985.
The new Government of Cambodia was approved by the National Assembly (lower house of parliament).
The People’s Party of Cambodia (NPK), led by Hong Sen, received more than 82% of votes in the last elections to the National Assembly on July 23. This allowed the party to take 120 out of 125 seats in parliament and form a new government.
The new office will include 10 deputy prime ministers and 40 ministers.
