The Minister of National Defense of Turkey, Hulushi Akar, expressed his condolences to the head of the defense department of Azerbaijan Zakir Gasanov in connection with the death of three Azerbaijani military personnel in the suppression of a provocation on the border with Armenia.
The defense department of Turkey said that in a letter that begins with the words “dear brother”, Akar emphasized that he sorrows the sorrow of the Azerbaijani people.
The Turkish minister emphasized that Turkey and Azerbaijan are sharing the common fate, building relations in the light of the principle “one nation – two states”. “Turkey was and will be all opportunities to support fraternal Azerbaijan in its fair struggle. I express my condolences to the family and friends of the fallen military personnel, to the whole Azerbaijani people,” the letter of Hulushi Akara says.
On April 11, approximately units of the Armed Forces of Armenia from the standpoint in the direction of the village of Dryg of the Gorissky District subjected the position of the Azerbaijani army in the Lachinsky direction. Then the enemy continued the shelling of Azerbaijani positions from mortars and large -caliber weapons. When suppressing the provocation of the Armenian side, three military personnel of the Azerbaijani army were killed.
