“Our position is extremely clear. For many years we declare that I am committed to peace, dialogue and prosperity within the framework of the Montreux agreement with countries bordering in the Black Sea.” This was stated by the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar, reports TRT Haber.
According to him, Turkey has done everything possible for dialogue in the Black Sea.
“On the one hand, we have a dialogue with Russia, on the other – with Ukraine. We also performed and continue to fulfill all our obligations to NATO,” said Minister Akar.
He also noted that the escalation of tension may be a serious threat.
“We call on all parties to cooperation and dialogue,” said the head of the defense department of Turkey.
