Several hundred supporters of the ex-president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili on Sunday gathered in Tbilisi at the parliament building, where they demanded to free it from custody, TASS reports.
“We demand that Saakashvili be liberated. Let’s carry out the reform of justice, remove the corruption, and only after that we will judge people,” said the leader of the party and justice of Tamar Charquiani to journalists, who had previously founded the movement for the return of Saakashvili on Homeland.
Among the demonstrators are Georgian emigrants, which, as the organizers, arrived from Germany, Spain, Italy, the United States and other countries. According to those who gathered, they will continue protests until the authorities are liberated.
