Hungary abandoned requirements

Hungary abandoned its requirements for the European Union. She used to ask to lift sanctions from three Russian oligarchs, but agreed to postpone this issue, writes Politico.

On September 7, Hungary demanded that the European Union cancel the restrictions on the billionaires of Peter Aven, Viktor Rashnikov and Alisher Usmanov. However, at the request of the Czech Republic, it will consider this later, during the next extension of the sanctions on September 15.

Experts claim that Budapest used the formal procedure as an excuse to force Brussels to approve the allocation of additional funds.
