“Hungary cannot agree with the sanctions against Russian gas, since the country really needs it.” About this, speaking at the conference in the framework of the Baku Energy Week, said the Foreign Minister of Hungary Peter Siyyarto.
According to him, 85% of the natural gas entering the country falls on Russia.
“This does not mean our exceptional choice. This fact is associated with physical conditions, infrastructure, as well as our location. We approach this issue from a pragmatic point of view. Therefore, we are talking about the use of Caspian gas in the balance of Hungary. We We want Caspian gas to become a reality in Central Europe. But this requires serious investments, ”said Siyyarto.
