The judicial consequence of the criminal case of a 39-year-old resident of Baku Seedagi Agayev, accused of growing and cultivating drug-containing plants in the preservation plot.

haqqin.az reports that Agayev, who has already been a conviction for drug use, was detained on June 12 last year in operational activities carried out by the staff of the Suuryhansky district police department. When inspecting the courtyard of the house in the village of Govsan, where Agayev lives, 40 shelled cannabis bushes with a total weight of 5 kilograms of 515 grams were found and seized.

Accused Agayev partially recognized himself guilty of charges against him. In his testimony, he pointed out that in 2013 he was sentenced to the Khazar District Court for 1 year 6 months of imprisonment for drug use, fed a family, working in greenhouses in the village of Bina.

Agayev said he decided to grow marijuana to reduce his dependence on heroin. To this end, he acquired hemp seeds from his acquaintances and planted them on the household plot.

Awarded the court of Seedag Agayev was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
