Turkish Foreign Ministry does not support sanctions against Russia, said NATO Foreign Ministers in Riga Turkey Foreign Minister Mevlyut Chavushoglu.
“In our opinion, the sanctions will not solve the problem, as they did not solve them in the past. We have seen the sanctions against different countries, sometimes against Turkey, but it does not solve the problem,” the Turkish Minister quotes RIA News.
According to Chavushoglu, you need to find the right balance in relations with Russia. “If instead of sanctions, we choose the containment of Russia, then it must be targeted. But we, like Turkey, believe in the right balance between containment and dialogue. Only with the help of sanctions, we will not be able to help Ukraine or another country,” said Chavushoglu.
