Therapist and nutritionist Ekaterina Burlyaeva told Rossiyskaya Gazeta which foods actually help to lose weight, RIA Novosti reports.
She included the least high-calorie vegetables in this list: zucchini, eggplants, cucumbers, tomatoes. The fact is that they are composed mostly of water and fiber, which quickly create a feeling of fullness. These foods also include greens.
“In fact, all the products that are considered products for weight loss do not help much. And you should never hope for their help,” Burlyaeva noted. The nutritionist explained that many people, due to incorrect information, switch exclusively to “weight loss” products, which negatively affects their health. She encouraged those wishing to go on a diet to maintain a balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates in the diet.
As an example, Burlyaeva cited mushrooms and grapefruit, which have a low calorie content and create volume. However, this does not mean that they directly contribute to weight loss. These products will be useful with a competent diet, the doctor concluded.
