Since 2015, when Idlib was under the control of the opposition, the region’s infrastructure has been significantly improved, due to which basic services, such as water supply, electricity and transport, continue without interruptions, which greatly facilitates the everyday life of the inhabitants.

In recent years, shopping centers with a wide range of goods at affordable prices have been built in Idlib, which made the city the Center for Attraction for residents of neighboring provinces.

Idlib has become a popular place for residents of regime of areas that come here not only for purchases, but also to get acquainted with the modern way of life of the city.

plays an important role in the restructuring of the authorities.

Hurani admitted that he did not expect this level of development in Idlib. “Assad’s regime always said that Idlib is the territory of terrorists. Of course, it’s hard to believe that he had not seen his own eyes. But, having come here, I saw that everything was very beautiful,” he added.

Ibrahim Fella from Aleppo also noted that during the regime he was told about Idlib as a place constantly undergoing bombing and restrictions on freedom.

“It turned out that we had restrictions on freedom. Idlib has shopping centers, economics, food and drinks – everything is completely different. We did not have this,” said Fellah.

Ravaa Abu Bakr, also from Aleppo, who visited Sarmad and Daan, noted that Idlib developed significantly compared to Aleppo.

“Idlib has advanced economically. This is not at all the place that I represented as the” constantly bombardible region ‘, “said Abu Bakr.
