The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) gained access to the border areas and territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, both from the Azerbaijani and Armenian side. About this head of the regional delegation of the ICRC in Russia, Belarus and Moldova, Idusyar Aslanov said in an interview with TASS.
According to him, the situation develops in different ways, especially along the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“And for us, one of the important questions is the security of our colleagues that could work there. We have access both from Azerbaijan, and from Armenia,” said Aslanov.
He noted that the ICRC is one of the few international organizations that works in this region.
“And we did not stop our work during the escalation of the conflict, we continue it today. Of course, the situation changes, and with it the needs of people are changing. Based on this situation, we also change our programs and approaches,” Representative of the ICRC.
