The Swedish furniture giant IKEA announced the dismissal of about 10 thousand remaining Russian employees. In total, 12 thousand people worked for the company, said the president and general director of IKEA, Joesper Brodin, the AFP agency.
After the start of the war in Ukraine, IKEA closed 17 of its stores in the country and stopped production at local factories. The company explained this decision “with serious failures in the supply chains.” At the same time, the management assured that employees would continue to work in warehouses and receive a salary.
