The construction of the railway from Goradiz to Zangilan is in the active phase of sales.
This was said by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during a speech at the 2nd Azerbaijan National Town Planning Forum in Zangilan.
“Very soon, the construction of this important part of the transport corridor, which will connect the bulk of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchyansk Autonomous Republic, and then with Iran, Turkey and further with Europe, will be completed,” the Azerbaijani leader said.
He emphasized that in this way, Zangilan will become an important transport point, since the airport, the railway, the six- and four-lane highways from Baku to Zangilan and to all other destination points are being built there. “A total of more than 2 thousand km of roads and highways is under construction. That is, it is large -scale construction,” the president of Azerbaijan added.
According to him, Azerbaijan considers Zangilan as an important transport point due to its geographical location and because it is located on transport corridors.
Stressing that this was one of the important factors for the construction of the Zangilan International Airport here, the head of state noted that it will facilitate the access of people. “I am sure that there will also be many foreign tourists in the future, since Zangilan is one of the most beautiful corners of Azerbaijan. And all this thanks to the green hills and mountains, rivers and lakes, a unique ecosystem of Zangilan. This is a really large treasure for us. Therefore, I am sure, I am sure, I am sure. that over time he will become one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Azerbaijan, ”the president said.
Ilham Aliyev called the date of returning the first inhabitants to Zangilan. “We are investing in the infrastructure of Zangilan. The General Plan of the city has been approved. Several housing construction projects are already being implemented. I hope that in 2025, and maybe earlier, the first residents will return to the city of Zangilan,” the president said.
