Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev approved the law “On the Cultural Capital of Azerbaijan – the city of Shusha”. The text of the law is published on the official website of the head of state.
According to the law, the State Reserve is created on the administrative territory of the city.
The document also defines the main directions of state policy, which is aimed at restoring the city, the protection of cultural and historical monuments, as well as the creation of conditions for tourism.
Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan is entrusted for three months to determine and approve the boundaries of the security zone of the Shushinsky State Reserve, to determine the security regime of the security zone, to approve the procedure for monitoring monuments in the city of Shusha.
The Cabinet of Ministers also must approve a list of prohibited types of entrepreneurial activities in the city of Shusha, as well as to prepare and submit a proposal to the head of state sources of financing of the Shushinsky State Reserve.
