Baku highly appreciates the efforts of the United States in normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. This is stated in the congratulatory letter of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev addressed to US President Joe Biden in connection with the Independence Day of the United States.
“Favorable conditions have been formed for the establishment of a sustainable world in the South Caucasus. We highly evaluate the efforts of the United States in the normalization of Armenian -Azerbaijani relations, the process of preparing a peace treaty based on the norms and principles of international law,” the Azerbaijani leader says.
Ilham Aliyev stated that relations with the United States are developing dynamically and have reached a strategic partnership in a number of regions. “The United States at all stages decisively and consistently supported the energy strategy of Azerbaijan. We especially appreciate the close cooperation in ensuring energy security, the comprehensive support of the United States of large -scale transnational projects,” the congratulatory letter says.
President Aliyev emphasized that, using the great potential of interaction, Azerbaijan is configured to further expand the relations with the United States. “I am confident in continuing the joint efforts on the path of development and strengthening of partnership, based on mutual trust and support in the interests of our states and peoples,” the document says.
