Azerbaijan will make every effort so that the peaceful agenda continues to continue, Baku has a strong political will for this.
This was stated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
The head of state noted that the agreement reached by the commissions of Azerbaijan and Armenia on Delimitation is the result of discussions held on a bilateral basis in the conditions of dialogue and mutual understanding.
The president emphasized that the beginning of demarcation work on the border of the two countries, following the delimitation process, is also a positive step. Aliyev said that at the suggestion of the Kazakhstani side, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia will soon meet in Almaty to continue negotiations under a peace treaty.
The head of state said that Azerbaijan supports the creation of a model of regional cooperation of the integrated South Caucasus without any dividing lines in the region.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken USA is ready to continue to maintain the normalization of relations and the promotion of a peaceful agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
He expressed the intention of his country to strengthen bilateral ties between the United States and Azerbaijan. The Secretary of State noted the issues of cooperation in the energy, climatic, transport spheres, in the field of COP29. Aliyev, in turn, emphasized that Azerbaijan is interested in the development of bilateral ties with the United States.
During the telephone conversation, the satisfaction of cooperation between the delegations of Azerbaijan and the USA was expressed in the framework of COP29.
Bliken also noted that he has positively regarded the steps taken recently by Azerbaijan in the field of human rights.
President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan is committed to his obligations in the field of human rights and the country continues democratic reforms.
