Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accepted the senior adviser to the US State Department for negotiations in the Caucasus Louis Bono. This was reported by the press service of the President of AR.
According to the report, the head of state continued to exchange views on issues raised during a recent telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
Ilham Aliyev once again confirmed the determination of the Azerbaijani side to continue the peace process and expressed hope for the speedy achievement of results in the main areas discussed in the framework of negotiations.
During the conversation, an exchange of views on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the negotiation process under a peace treaty took place.
Earlier, Louis Bono held negotiations with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jehun Bayramov. The meeting discussed the process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan.
