Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin held telephone conversations. According to the Kremlin website, the conversation took place on the initiative of the Azerbaijani side.
During the conversation, the course of the implementation of the agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of November 920, January 11 and November 26, 2021 was considered with an emphasis on solving specific issues related to the establishment of peaceful life in the region and strengthening stability, unlocking economic ties and transport communications.
Ilham Aliyev informed about the meeting on May 22 in Brussels with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the chairman of the European Council Charles Michel.
In addition, some current aspects of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic region have been discussed. A mutual attitude was confirmed by a further deepening of the Russian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership, including taking into account the results of the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Moscow in February 2022.
