President Ilham Aliyev at a meeting with representatives of young people expressed its attitude to modern challenges. AzerTaj reports, the Azerbaijani leader emphasized the threat of globalization:
“True, globalization as a term is derived from the world vocabulary. Because there were very widespread resistance to this flow, but it remains in the form of an idea. That is, today globalization is rooted under a different name. The main purpose of this trend is interference in internal affairs. Different countries, equality, globalization or association of people, especially young people, around uniform values, interpersonal values, upbringing cosmopolitan youth and, naturally, the subsequent management of these countries. That is, the goal itself does not change and will not change. We see it throughout history. If we turn to the story, we will see that there are no goals and interests, but the form and methods of struggle. To solve some issue, the curtain changes, if you can say, packaging, but the essence of the question does not change. That is the struggle for hegemony draws special attention to countries that are of particular importance, countries that provided themselves with rich natural resources and have very ATEKIC GEOGRAPHIC POSITION.
Azerbaijan reflects all these factors, which we have witnessed during our independence. We are faced with this intention, resist him, and I can say that we managed to overcome these dangers. Today, Azerbaijani society and Azerbaijani power are unequivocally on guard of national interests. I, as president, I will protect national values to the end and our state independence. That is, when I speak independence, I mean not attributes – and real independence. Can you carry out really independent politics or not? Or are managed by decrees from outside, inclined in front of someone. Azerbaijan never followed such attempts, on the contrary, we fought and defeated on all venues. “
