Bust Malla Panha Vagifa, made of bronze in 1957, was established as a tombstone near Dzhydir Duju in 1958, and then in 1976 he was moved closer to the poet’s house in Shushe. Before the opening of the Vagif’s Mausoleum in 1982, the bust and territory around it were repaired, and the pedestal of the monument was replaced. During the occupation of the city of Shusha in 1992, the bust was subjected to Armenian vandalism and was destroyed.
In the direction of President Ilham Aliyev this year, the monument was renovated on the basis of the original sketch project of his author – the Honored Arts Worker Hayat Abdullava.
With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a bust made of bronze was returned to the previous place and set near the Mall of Panha Vagif’s Malls in Shushe.
