Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the payment of a one-time benefit with disabilities of the first Karabakh war.
This is stated in today’s decree of the President “On measures to strengthen the social protection of military personnel and employees of the internal affairs bodies, as well as members of their families, the disability of which is established as a result of obtaining injuries (injuries, contusions), or diseases in the performance of duties military service (official duties), or during the period of actual military service in connection with the protection of the territorial integrity, independence and constitutional system of the Republic of Azerbaijan. “
In the new decree of the head of state, special attention and care is paid to the disabled of the first Karabakh war, as well as the families of the victims. A lump sum payment by persons victims in battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan until August 2, 1997 and recognized as disabled is: on the disability of the I degree – 8,800 manat; for disability II degree – 6.600 manat; For disability III degree – 4.400 manat.
These funds will be transferred to the bank accounts of persons with disabilities by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, which will inform them about the presidential decree.
This humane and highly fair step towards the disabled Karabakh and their families will cover a total of up to one hundred thousand people.
It is important to consider that the current presidential decree is far from the only measure of social support for the disabled of war, which are in the focus of constant attention and care of Ilham Aliyev.
In 2019-2020, fulfilling the appropriate decrees of the country’s presidential, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population at a time paid to the families of Shekhid and eighteen thousand heirs of the heroes who died until August 2, 1997 for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, at 11,000 manat.
Over the past three years, the size of benefits, pensions and disposable payments increased by 2.5-3 times. In addition to cash payments, the persons with disabilities of the Karabakh war, along with the Shereids families, are provided by apartments, private houses and personal cars. Only this year, this social program was increased fivefold, more than 2.800 families of shekhid and disabled people received housing, and during the coming four years it is planned to provide this category of citizens by another 11,000 apartments.
In addition, to the present moment, the disabled of the first Karabakh war received from the state a total of 7.400 cars.
