Azerbaijan two years ago successfully implemented the Tar project, which is the final segment of the southern gas corridor, and became a reliable energy partner for the European Union. This is noted by persons who lead the European Union. This once again confirms the memorandum of strategic partnership in natural gas, signed last year in Baku between the European Union and Azerbaijan. This was stated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in a statement for the press after negotiations with President Romania Klaus Johannis in an expanded composition.
The head of state also indicated that a very important step will take a very important step in the direction of green energy: “Tomorrow the first advisory council in green energy will take place. This is a strategic project, a project requiring huge investments, a project connecting several countries, a project connecting two seas. We hope that tomorrow is the first meeting of the leading committee will also offer a roadmap for joint activities in the future. “
Ilham Aliyev emphasized that “at the same time, other areas can be priority, including transport. There are very good opportunities for deepening cooperation between Baku and Constanta ports.”
The President of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that both gas and green energy corridors will lead to excellent results, including in the sphere of transport.
