Ilham Aliyev told US Secretary of State about situation on border with Armenia

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Azertja reports.

During a telephone conversation, the US Secretary of State expressed concern in connection with the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border.

President Ilham Aliyev noted that this tension arose as a result of the large-scale provocations of Armenia, and therefore the responsibility completely falls on the military-political leadership of Armenia.

Anthony Blinken said that the United States will continue to ensure durable peace and security in the region, normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The head of state emphasized that Azerbaijan supports the peaceful agenda and the importance of continuing efforts in this direction.
