“The war ended and became history. New opportunities appeared. Among them, I believe the most important transport opportunities,” said Ilham Aliyev, who quotes Interfax.
According to the head of state, currently there is an active work on the Zangezo corridor. “Now the ancient land of Azerbaijan Zangezur will play the role of the Association of the Turkic World. Since transport, communication, infrastructure projects passing through Zangezur will unite the entire Turkic world, and will also create additional opportunities for other countries, including for Armenia,” said Ilham Aliyev.
Head of State noted that Currently, Armenia has no railway communication with Russia. “This connection can be created through the territory of Azerbaijan. Armenia also has no railway communication with neighboring Iran. Through Nakhchivan, this connection can also be provided,” the president noted.
Ilham Aliyev also stressed that Azerbaijan through the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is connected to Turkey, Central Asia with Europe.
“That is, a new transport corridor is created. Azerbaijan has already gave the start of this work. I am sure that the partner countries will also take advantage of these opportunities,” said the head of state.
