The Council of Executive Directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved the allocation of the next tranche of 1.1 billion dollars by Ukraine through the expanded lending mechanism approved in March 2023 (EFF).
As reported on the website of the Fund, the IMF Council completed the sixth overview of the expanded lending mechanism for Ukraine.
After allocating the specified tranche, the total amount of financial assistance to Ukraine as part of the expanded financing program will be $ 9.8 billion.
The total amount of the four -year EFF program, designed until 2027, is $ 15.5 billion. The program is aimed at supporting the restoration of the economy, improving management and strengthening institutions to promote the long -term growth of Ukraine.
The statement noted that the indicators of Ukraine within the framework of the program continue to remain high, and target indicators are achieved.
Economic growth in 2024 was increased due to a higher, more resistance to energy shocks, noted in the IMF.
, however, in 2025 it is expected to slow down the growth rate due to the increased labor market, the consequences of Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure and persistent uncertainty regarding the conflict, ”follows the message.
The IMF statement noted that the general prospects in the country remain subject to extremely high uncertainty.
