Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that Pakistan had a good relationship with both China and the United States, and expressed a desire to act as an intermediary in order to reduce the tensions between the two states, Gulf Today reports.
According to him, Pakistan is ready to again take on the role of peacemaker, as in the 1970s, adding that the world is not ready for a new cold war between two “formidable powers”, expressing the hope that the United States and China will not Suggest a situation.
“Pakistan does not want to come up before he had to choose between two countries. The world should not be divided into two camps. I hope it will not turn into another cold war, where we will have to choose the side,” said Khan.
Speaking about the importance of peace and stability in the region, Khan said that conflicts deal serious damage to the economy.
“If you have conflicts, the first thing that will suffer is the economy, and this is the last thing we want,” he said.
