In the capital of Iran Tehran, due to non-compliance with the instructions for energy saving, natural gas was disconnected in 272 government institutions.
According to the official Iranian IRNA news agency, the general director of the Tehran Gas Tegeran Gas Ali Reza Avani gave information on this issue.
“According to the instructions of the National Gas Company Iran, state institutions are required to set the temperature in buildings not higher than 18 degrees and disconnect boiler houses and heating systems an hour before the end of the working day,” Avani said.
Iranian official noted that during the inspections 272 state institutions were identified that did not comply with the rules of energy conservation, and the supply of natural gas was stopped.
Avani asked all citizens to contribute to the continuity of natural gas flow, taking simple measures and participating in the campaign “2 degrees less” so that citizens in all corners of the country could use this energy resource.
In Iran, the lack of investment in energy infrastructure due to economic sanctions, as well as a careless attitude to the consumption of natural gas and electricity, lead to energy supply deficiency. In this regard, President Masud Cyzeshkin demanded to save 2 degrees throughout the country.
